H.E. Amb. Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani is an Emirati business tycoon, philanthropist, and investor. His legacy is marked by his experience and vision, which paves the path for INDEX Holding, a multinational healthcare business management company. He is the Chairman of INDEX Holding and its subsidiaries such as INDEX Health Care Management, INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, INDEX Trading and Investment, INDEX Media, INDEX Medical Centre, INDEX Holding Korea, INDEX Holding Singapore, INDEX Design, and Abdul Salam Al Madani Textile Trading and Tailoring. INDEX holding is always at the forefront in planning, supporting, and hosting medical and health conferences and exhibitions in Dubai, UAE, the Gulf region, the Middle East, and internationally.

Before he founded Index Holding, H.E. Amb. Dr. Almadani served as the Director of Planning and Development at the Primary Health Care, Department of Health and Medical Services, Government of Dubai for the duration of 18 years. His desire to start his own business and his vision for doing so were fostered throughout his time there, and as a result, the aforementioned firms were born. H.E. Amb. Dr. Al Madani himself developed, created, and structured these businesses. In addition to having over 25 years of experience in the management and provision of healthcare services, H.E. Amb. Dr. Al Madani also has formal education and training in health care management. He received a PhD in Humanities from the University of Lugano – Switzerland, as well as an Honorary Degree in Humanities at UCM United Campus of Malta. He is a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Care Management and holds a Master’s degree in Hospital Management from Birmingham University.

The Middle East and North Africa region's Special Advisor to the International Hospital Federation, H.E. Amb. Dr. Al Madani, actively promotes the ideals of modern healthcare and hospital management. In addition, he serves as the Chairman of the Anti-Smoking International Alliance, a London based registered Charity organization which is an initiative for anti-smoking campaigns and the promotion of good health and wellbeing. He is a trustee of the Emirates Swiss Friendship Platform and a board member of the Arab Academy of Dermatology & Aesthetics. He is also an active Member of the Governing Board of the Al Falah University, Al Ain. In order to support the frontlines in all medical and humanitarian professions at challenging times like the Covid-19 pandemic, and to provide continuing education to healthcare workers around the world, Amb. Dr. Al Madani oversaw the creation of the Waterfalls Initiative for Continuous Education from the UAE to the World, a global project that was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and the supervision of H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and conducted by the Behavioral Rewards Department at the Ministry of Possibilities in collaboration with INDEX Holding

He received appreciation and acknowledgement from HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai (for organizing the first successful meeting of the IMF Board of Governors), also from the State of New York, Office of the Governor, Mr. George Pataki for distinguished contribution to the Dental Community through organizing the specialized AEEDC Dubai annually.

Having a strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, H.E. Amb. Dr. Al Madani's humanitarian accomplishments have gained him widespread acclaim both within the UAE and globally. He received numerous honorary degrees and accolades for his considerable contribution in the humanitarian sector, one of which was being recently appointed the Goodwill Ambassador by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM).
